We do a good deal of satirical critique at OK/C, so I figured this was a good week to lay low and think about what we are thankful for. A couple quick ones:
UX/HCI has come a long way as a field, and there’s been plenty of press as great design as an important ingredient to business success.
The job market has picked up again, and there are plenty of organizations who know enough to appreciate the value of an information architect or a design researcher.
Of course, we’re thankful for our readers.
So what are you thankful for?
I’m thankful for the joy I get out of ok/cancel comics and the inspiration I get out of your articles.
Keep it up!
Love your stories and comics that accompany them.I am thankful that I have my family home for the holidays!!
In addition to the things Tom’s already mentioned - especially the readers part:
I’m thankful for having so many artists intersted in our new venture, Off Panel (yes that was a plug but really, I am thankful that there’s a reasonable amount of interest).
I’m also thankful for having a permanent address which is the first time I’ve felt anchored in about 2 years. Being a nomad is only fun for so long.
OK/Cancel is a comic strip collaboration co-written and co-illustrated by Kevin Cheng and Tom Chi. Our subject matter focuses on interfaces, good and bad and the people behind the industry of building interfaces - usability specialists, interaction designers, human-computer interaction (HCI) experts, industrial designers, etc. (Who Links Here) ?
