kind of on topic…
this is one reason The Legend of Zelda always does so well. Although they push back their launch dates every once in a while by a month or two…they still ship, and they still put out a master piece.
And seriously speaking, Nintendo couldn’t have been serious about their graphics even when it was 8 bit. I’m still not impressed with video game graphics in general just because they still don’t look as good as they did in ‘final fantasy (the movie)’ (even though that movie sucked).

it was about the content…and as trite as that sounds…it’s still…true. content is king. (gosh that sounds like we’re beating a drum here).

Zelda was about the story, the involvement, the emotional aspect. About a boy who saves the world.

Anyway, you could almost relate this to Yahoo’s recent launch of their new Music store. I personally think it was a bit premature…mainly because I kept getting internal server errors (500) everytime I went to purchase a 79 cent song. But still good timing. Gives them a solid 6 months before Christmas for folks to gather enough songs… so that they could ask for an MP3 player (for x-mas)… and not an iPod.
